This market is about the first map in a Counter-Strike match between Legacy and Monte at IEM Cologne Major Stage 2. The key question is not who wins the match, but whether Legacy can win Map 1 by four rounds or more, which is a much narrower score-based outcome. Because it is tied to a specific map at a major event, the market depends on the map being played to a finished round score, not just on the eventual match result.
The title, "Map 1 Rounds Handicap: Legacy (-3.5) vs Monte (+3.5)," means Legacy must finish Map 1 ahead by at least four rounds for the Legacy side to resolve. If Monte avoids that margin, including by winning Map 1 or losing by only one, two, or three rounds, the market resolves to Monte. The match is listed for June 7 at 8:30 AM ET, and the resolution is based solely on Map 1 of this specific IEM Cologne Major Stage 2 matchup.
Handicap markets like this focus on margin rather than the simple winner, which adds uncertainty even in a single map. In Counter-Strike, map pools, side balance, veto order, and team form can all affect whether a favorite wins comfortably or keeps the score close, so the final round gap can be more volatile than the match outcome itself. The current market setup shows a strong lean toward Monte on the handicap line, but the actual resolution still comes down to the exact Map 1 score.
The biggest price movers here are anything that changes expectations for Map 1 round margin: the map veto, the first-map pick, and whether either team is known to be stronger on the selected map. Roster changes, stand-ins, illness, or a last-minute substitution would matter because they can change how one team performs in opening rounds and on each side of the map. If the match goes to a different map order than expected, or if there is a delay, forfeit, or incomplete Map 1, that can also change how the market is expected to resolve under the stated rules.

View marketThe current market price implies roughly a 1% chance for the leading outcome, based on live Polymarket pricing. That number is not a prediction from PredictionNinja and it is not a guarantee; it is the current crowd-priced view of the market and can change quickly when new information appears.
Readers should verify that Map 1 is actually played to completion and that the final round score is recorded, because this market does not settle from the overall match winner alone. The official source of truth is HLTV, and the description says results should come from HLTV if published within the expected window after the event concludes. It is also important to check for edge cases in the rules: if Map 1 is not completed, is decided by default, or the match is canceled or delayed beyond seven days without a completed Map 1, the market resolves 50-50 instead of to either team.

This market is currently listed with an end date of Jun 7, 2026. Market timelines can change if the underlying event is postponed, rescheduled, or resolved early.
This market refers to the Counter-Strike match between Legacy and Monte in the IEM Cologne Major Stage 2, initially scheduled for June 7 at 8:30AM ET. This market is decided solely by the round score of Map 1 of this match, and is independent of which team wins Map 1 or the overall match. This market will resolve to "Legacy" if Legacy wins Map 1 by 4 or more rounds, including any overtime (i.e. Legacy's round total on Map 1 exceeds Monte's by 4 or more). Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Monte". Map 1 must be played to completion, with a final round score determined by rounds actually played, for this market to resolve to a team. If Map 1 is completed in this way, the market resolves on that round score regardless of how the remainder of the match concludes (including any later forfeit, disqualification, walkover, or default). If Map 1 is not played at all, is not played to completion, or is decided by forfeit, disqualification, walkover, or default rather than by rounds played to a conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50. If the match is canceled, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without Map 1 being completed, this market will resolve 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead, including video evidence.
Probability signal
The current price implies a lower-probability outcome, which can make the market more sensitive to surprise news.
Liquidity context
Liquidity is present but not especially deep, so spreads and order-book movement still matter.
Spread
The bid-ask spread is tight, which usually points to a more actively priced market.
Recent movement
No 24h movement is available yet.
The current displayed probability is 1%, based on the latest normalized Polymarket data available to PredictionNinja.
The rules and resolution criteria are pulled from the market description provided by Polymarket when available.
