This market is about a scheduled best-of-three Counter-Strike match between Spirit and 9z at IEM Cologne Major Stage 2. It is worth watching because a BO3 at this stage can swing on map vetoes, current form, and how well each team handles a high-pressure tournament setting.
The specific event is the Round 3 match between Spirit and 9z in IEM Cologne Major Stage 2, initially listed for June 7 at 1:00 PM ET. The outcome is simple: the market resolves to Spirit if Spirit win the match, or to 9z if 9z win; if the match is not played, ends in a tie, or is delayed more than seven days without a winner, it resolves 50-50. Because this is a BO3, the result depends on winning two maps rather than a single map or round.
There is uncertainty because even in a matchup with a clear favorite on paper, Counter-Strike series can turn on one strong map, a bad veto, or a sudden momentum shift. Spirit and 9z come from different competitive levels and regions, so readers are weighing roster quality, preparation, and tournament pressure against the possibility of an upset. The market is also tracking whether Spirit can convert that edge in a full series rather than a single map.
The biggest price movers for this market are official match updates: lineups, map vetoes, map wins, and the final series result. Any sign of a roster change, illness, technical issue, delay, or forfeit matters because the settlement rules treat completed matches, walkovers, and non-started forfeits differently. Because the series is best-of-three, a strong showing on the first map or an unexpected veto outcome can quickly change expectations for the rest of the match.
The current market price implies roughly a 90% chance for the leading outcome, based on live Polymarket pricing. That number is not a prediction from PredictionNinja and it is not a guarantee; it is the current crowd-priced view of the market and can change quickly when new information appears.

View marketReaders should check the official result on HLTV, since that is the primary resolution source, with credible reporting or video evidence only used if HLTV has not posted final results within two hours after the match ends. The market rules also make a difference between a match that starts and then ends by forfeit or disqualification, and one that is withdrawn before it begins, so the exact status of the series matters. The scheduled date and the seven-day delay window are important too, because a postponed or abandoned match can settle to 50-50 instead of naming a winner.

This market is currently listed with an end date of Jun 7, 2026. Market timelines can change if the underlying event is postponed, rescheduled, or resolved early.
This market refers to the Counter-Strike Round 3 match between Spirit and 9z in the IEM Cologne Major Stage 2, initially scheduled for June 7 at 1:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "Spirit" if Spirit win the match against 9z. This market will resolve to "9z" if 9z win the match against Spirit. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

The current price implies a strong favorite, so new information would need to be meaningful to move the market sharply.

Spread
The bid-ask spread is tight, which usually points to a more actively priced market.
