This market asks a narrow but important esports question: who wins Map 1 in the Counter-Strike match between Monte and BetBoom Team at IEM Cologne Major Stage 2. Because map-by-map results can differ from the final match winner, the first map often reflects veto choices, starting side, and early form before the rest of the series plays out.
The event is the Round 4 match between Monte and BetBoom Team, initially scheduled for June 8 at 10:30AM ET in the IEM Cologne Major Stage 2. Resolution is simple: if Monte take Map 1, the market resolves to Monte; if BetBoom Team take Map 1, it resolves to BetBoom Team. If the match starts and Map 1 is completed, that result counts even if the overall match is later unfinished, while an unplayed or abandoned Map 1 leads to a 50-50 resolution under the rules.
The uncertainty here is not just who wins the match, but which team is better positioned on the opening map, where vetoes and map choice can matter a lot. In Counter-Strike, strong teams can still be vulnerable on specific maps, and a Round 4 match in a major-stage event adds pressure because every map can shape elimination or advancement paths. The market is also sharply lopsided in the available pricing, suggesting traders see one side as far more likely to start well on Map 1.
The biggest price movers are the official map veto, the announced map for Map 1, and any roster or stand-in changes before the match begins. If either team changes its lineup, shows a map weakness in earlier rounds, or lands on a favored map in the veto, that can materially shift expectations for the first map. Delays, postponements, or confirmation that the match will not be completed can also matter because the rules send unplayed Map 1 outcomes to a 50-50 resolution.
The current market price implies roughly a 0% chance for the leading outcome, based on live Polymarket pricing. That number is not a prediction from PredictionNinja and it is not a guarantee; it is the current crowd-priced view of the market and can change quickly when new information appears.

View marketThe key source of truth is the official result information on HLTV, which the market rules name for resolution. Before it settles, readers should verify that Map 1 was actually played to completion and that the result is recorded for Monte or BetBoom Team, since the market depends on the first map only and not the full match score. The deadline also matters: if the match is canceled or delayed beyond seven days without play beginning, or if Map 1 is not completed, the market resolves 50-50 under the stated rules.
