This market asks a very specific Counter-Strike question: will Monte beat BetBoom Team by at least four rounds on Map 2 of their IEM Cologne Major Stage 2 match? Because it depends only on the second map’s round score, it can resolve one way even if the match winner or the first map goes the other direction. The market is currently leaning strongly toward Monte, but the result still comes down to how Map 2 is actually played out.
The event is the Monte vs BetBoom Team match in IEM Cologne Major Stage 2, initially scheduled for June 8 at 10:30 AM ET. The title’s “Map 2 Rounds Handicap: Monte (-3.5) vs BetBoom Team (+3.5)” means Monte must win Map 2 by 4 or more rounds for Monte to resolve, while any smaller margin—or a BetBoom Team Map 2 win—resolves to BetBoom Team. This is a map-specific handicap market, so it ignores the overall match winner and looks only at the final round differential on the second map.
Esports handicap markets like this one are about margin, not just victory, and in Counter-Strike that matters because map scores can swing from a close finish to a one-sided result depending on vetoes, side starts, and momentum. Monte and BetBoom Team are both established teams in a major-stage tournament setting, so there is enough uncertainty about map strength and form to make the round spread meaningful. The market is pricing the question of whether Monte can create enough separation on Map 2 to cover a 3.5-round handicap.
Anything that changes expectations for Map 2 can move this market: the official map veto, which side each team starts on, and whether the second map is one of Monte’s stronger picks or a comfort map for BetBoom Team. Roster changes, stand-ins, and in-match momentum from Map 1 can matter too, since a lopsided first map often changes how competitive the second map looks. If the match format or schedule shifts, or if Map 2 is interrupted or never completed, that can also affect resolution because this market is tied to a completed final round score.

View marketThe current market price implies roughly a 100% chance for the leading outcome, based on live Polymarket pricing. That number is not a prediction from PredictionNinja and it is not a guarantee; it is the current crowd-priced view of the market and can change quickly when new information appears.
The key source of truth is HLTV’s official match page and final map score, since the market resolves from official results there. Readers should check that Map 2 was actually played to completion, because the rules say a forfeit, walkover, incomplete map, or cancellation can trigger a 50-50 resolution instead of a team win. If the match is delayed more than seven days past the scheduled date without Map 2 finishing, that also sends the market to 50-50, so the schedule and final map status matter as much as the score itself.

This market is currently listed with an end date of Jun 8, 2026. Market timelines can change if the underlying event is postponed, rescheduled, or resolved early.
This market refers to the Counter-Strike match between Monte and BetBoom Team in the IEM Cologne Major Stage 2, initially scheduled for June 8 at 10:30AM ET. This market is decided solely by the round score of Map 2 of this match, and is independent of which team wins Map 2 or the overall match. This market will resolve to "Monte" if Monte wins Map 2 by 4 or more rounds, including any overtime (i.e. Monte's round total on Map 2 exceeds BetBoom Team's by 4 or more). Otherwise, this market will resolve to "BetBoom Team". Map 2 must be played to completion, with a final round score determined by rounds actually played, for this market to resolve to a team. If Map 2 is completed in this way, the market resolves on that round score regardless of how the remainder of the match concludes (including any later forfeit, disqualification, walkover, or default). If Map 2 is not played at all, is not played to completion, or is decided by forfeit, disqualification, walkover, or default rather than by rounds played to a conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50. If the match is canceled, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without Map 2 being completed, this market will resolve 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead, including video evidence.
Probability signal
The current price implies a strong favorite, so new information would need to be meaningful to move the market sharply.

Spread
The bid-ask spread is tight, which usually points to a more actively priced market.
