This market asks where the next in-person encounter between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin will happen, with “Australia” singled out as the possible location. Because the resolution depends on the next qualifying meeting, not any past summit or photo opportunity, the key issue is whether these two leaders are ever confirmed to meet face to face before the deadline.
The market resolves to Yes only if the next meeting between Trump and Putin occurs in Australia before December 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. The rules are strict about what counts: both named individuals must be present and must interact in person, such as through a handshake, direct conversation, or another clear personal exchange. A shared venue, nearby seating, or being in the same room without direct interaction does not qualify, and if no qualifying meeting happens during the market window, the outcome is No.
Trump and Putin are globally prominent political figures, so even the location of a future meeting can be uncertain and politically meaningful. Australia matters here because it is a specific, far-flung venue outside the more common diplomatic settings, and the market is effectively pricing whether any future encounter happens there rather than in a more typical location such as a summit host country or neutral venue. The uncertainty comes from both scheduling and diplomacy: whether the two leaders meet at all, and if they do, whether that meeting is held in Australia.
The market would move if there were official announcements, summit plans, or credible reporting that Trump and Putin would attend the same event in Australia and interact there. By contrast, reports placing a future Trump-Putin meeting in another country, or suggesting no meeting is planned, would push the market away from Australia. Because the contract is about the next qualifying meeting, any credible indication of a different venue or of a delay beyond the deadline matters more than general political headlines.

View marketThe current market price implies roughly a 0% chance for the leading outcome, based on live Polymarket pricing. That number is not a prediction from PredictionNinja and it is not a guarantee; it is the current crowd-priced view of the market and can change quickly when new information appears.
Readers should watch for the exact location of any confirmed Trump-Putin encounter and whether it includes direct interaction, since the wording is narrower than just appearing at the same event. The resolution source is a consensus of credible reporting, so official statements, summit agendas, and reporting that clearly identifies the meeting place will matter most. The deadline is December 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET, and if no qualifying meeting happens by then, the market resolves to No meeting by December 31.

This market is currently listed with an end date of Dec 31, 2026. Market timelines can change if the underlying event is postponed, rescheduled, or resolved early.
This market will resolve according to the location of the next meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin between market creation and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. This market will resolve to "No meeting by December 31" if no qualifying meeting occurs during this market's timeframe. A meeting is defined as any encounter where Putin and Trump are all present and interact with each other in person. An exchange of words, handshake, direct conversation, or other clear personal interaction between the named individuals will qualify as a meeting. Merely standing in proximity, making eye contact, or being present in the same room or event without direct interaction will not qualify. For this market, Gulf states are defined as the six members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates). The primary resolution source for this market will be a consensus of credible reporting.
Probability signal
The current price implies a lower-probability outcome, which can make the market more sensitive to surprise news.
Liquidity context
Liquidity is present but not especially deep, so spreads and order-book movement still matter.
Spread
The bid-ask spread is tight, which usually points to a more actively priced market.
Recent movement
The 24h move is modest, suggesting the market has not repriced dramatically in the latest feed.
The current displayed probability is 0%, based on the latest normalized Polymarket data available to PredictionNinja.
